Default problems with Switch Device Wizard - 11-02-2007, 04:45 PM

Hi- I have been on Palm for the last 10 years, but just bought the 8830/sprint. One of the main features which convinced me to move was the "switch devise wizard" the sales guy showed me. My challenge is the wizard only allows me to select "switch blackberry devises" while the "switch from another devise to a BB devise" button does not respond. Documentation is limited and I am hoping someone can tell me what I am doing wrong here... thoughts? I have tried the below... still no results.

How to Use the PIM Data Migration Wizard
1. If you are migrating data from a Palm OS device, hotsync the Palm OS device. (Skip this step if you are using a Windows Mobile device.)
2. If wireless PIM synchronization is enabled on your BlackBerry device, disable this feature. For instructions, see KB-04976.
3. Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer.
4. Connect your Palm OS device or Windows Mobile device to your computer.
5. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager and double-clickIntellisync. The Intellisync window appears.
6. Click Import. The Migration Wizard window appears.
7. Click Next.
8. Select the type of device you are using, then clickNext.
9. From the drop-down list, select the PIM profile from which you are importing PIM data, then click Next. The data migration begins.
10. When PIM data was imported successfully appears, click Finish.
11. Re-enable wireless PIM synchronization on your BlackBerry device (if applicable).
