I recentlty picked up a Pearl from VZW and wanted to say hi. I love my Blackberry and the cool features, Ive already loadded up my phone with ringtones and themes but have some questions. Im looking forward to bouncing my questions off you guys, youve got a great forum.

Welcome...it's a fun toy, isn't it.

One of the things you'll want to do at some point is upgrade the OS on your Pearl...Verizon released 4.3.0.60, since then 4.3.0.71 has become available (from Sprint) and 4.3.0.81 is on the way (from Alltel). (You can load any 8130 OS from a CDMA provider...they work on any 8130 and don't mess w/any Verizon-specific stuff).

Info on the most recent OS available for the 8130 is a the top of the 8100 forum here...

Since the Alltel .81 version is probably a week or two away from release, you should probably just wait for that. (Alltel just released the 8130, and the OS release from the vendor usually comes a couple of weeks or so after the phone being released).
