Hi hi:

I am a relatively new bb user and I have the 8703e phone. I was connected to 5 active email mailboxes but last night my bb locked up and when I restarted it only 2 maibox icons were left. Further, the counter for the mail began decreasing steadily. I took out the battery to stop it (thinking I had some kind of virus). Now when I start by bb the light goes red, it takes a while to start up (about a minute) and the mail count still decreases constantly, only 2 mailboxes are visible on the screen. I was able to login to the email settings page and the other accounts are still listed.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Welcome to the Forums.

That is odd... I am assuming you are on BIS? If yours is a corporate provided BB, it likely would be on BES. Where did you go to login the email settings page and see the accounts listed--your VZW carrier BIS site?

I would undertake these measures, first:

and perhaps:

A minute to startup after a battery pull is good, quite normal.
