I'm trying to find a bluetooth adapter for my laptop that doesn't use any 3rd party drivers, and am coming up empty. My laptop came already equipped with bluetooth, but the device was made by Toshiba which uses third party drivers, which means the RIM desktop won't sync to it. I've tried uninstalling the 3rd party drivers and just forcing the bluetooth device to use XP R2s native drivers (as is suggested by others in this forum), but my computer doesn't like that at all. It started to connect, and gave me the blue screen of death.

So, I'm looking for a bluetooth adapter that does NOT require the use of 3rd party drivers. Any suggestions?

I doubt there are any. At least over hear most bluetooth adapters work with the software BlueSoleil. I haven't had any problems with my BlackBerry and my bluetooth adapter.

You could try to install BlueSoleil and see if that works with your internal bluetooth chpset. Although I dought that, it might be worth a try.
