Talking Leaving Treo...Hello BB.... - 03-17-2008, 10:16 AM

Hi All:

After three years of Treo fun, my company has made the decision to move to BlackBerry. I will be the second to receive an 8830 with Sprint tomorrow and I am looking forward to the change as well as being a bit apprehensive.

The Treo would be a really nice device if they ever get it to operate as advertised. In the past month I have probably wasted at least ten hours trying to keep my 650 operating and frankly I am no longer amused.

I am apprehensive simply because BB is all new to me and I will have to spend some time learning about the way it operates, what it can and can't do, what is available to supplement the built-in features and such.

I will probably post some really stupid questions, but that is how one learns, no?

I am very impressed with the activity and depth of information on these boards and I look forward to learning and maybe even contributing at some point.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

Tomorrow is the set-up day and porting for the new 8830 and I can't wait. Only two resets for my Treo today....a light day!!! I think it knows!
