Default BB Newbie - 03-18-2008, 08:33 AM

Hi, I just got my first blackberry (8320) on Sunday, and already I'm loving it. I'm a bit curious, I went cheap and got the email only option from T-Mobile, am I going to regret it that much? Also, is there some site I should go to, to get themes?

Welcome!!! The 8320 is a great device. What do you mean you got the email only option? E.g. ... you can't use it as a phone? or did you not get a data plan?

I personally don't know of any theme sites (I just use the built in defaults .... yes I'm a boring person), but I'm sure you can search here and find some.

Sorry, I meant that I have a regular phone plan, but instead of getting the full fledged BIS plan also (internet + email) I opted to add the email only plan

Heh ... didn't even know this was possible (and I have TMO too). That said, I have the BES plan so I wouldn't have thought about this.

I can't seem to find an email only plan with TMO ... can you post a link to it?

Well look at that ... I've never had or know anyone that has had that plan so I can't speak to what functionality you can get out of it.

For full BB functionality (application usage / google maps, IM), I'm sure you'd need a full BIS plan.

Personally for the $10 / mo, it'd be worth every penny.

you *might* be able to turn the wireless network off and use only WIFI on the device to download OTA. that being said, what hdawg said is correct, for the extra $10 you really would get a great deal more functionality from the device. and welcome to the forums

Welcome to the group, jcicora!

The others have pretty much answered your question, I think, but I will add that you are not stuck. You can add/change plans and get full BIS. So no big deal. See how well you like what you have; change if you need something else.
