I am not quite sure what you set up. I am guessing that it's probably not BES. I am guessing maybe you are using the redirector? Did you set it up via BIS as well? One copy from each?

Hi i installed on the bb director that came with the phone, had worked fine on day one but now when i get an e-mail i get a repeat one a couple of minutes later...
I was told that i could set up a direct ip link to the server but when i try this it doesnt seem to link through is this an issue due to the director running.
Sorry but this is driving me mad and i have another couple of phones to set up.

You've set up two separate email sync options from the sounds of it:

1) Desktop Redirector
2) POP3 through the BlackBerry Internet Service

You need to turn one off. I suggest that you get rid of the Redirector in favour of using the BIS routing.

...or...

Since you have an Exchange Server in place you would be best served by either the BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the BlackBerry Professional Software. Both can be set up relatively inexpensively and would give you wireless sync with not only your inbox but also your sent items, deleted items, calendar, contacts, memos and to-do items.

Sorry but i am new to this....

I have the blackberry desktop set up on my machine in the office and the director is there.

I have also enabled pop3 within the exchange and cleared a route through the fire wall at port 110.

I was under the impression that the director was required to allow my outlook to send e-mails to the bb.

I have alos been told that i can put in the ip address of the server with the advanced settings of e-mail set up and this then goes directly to my server rather having to leave my machine on in the office.

Re the BES i am thinking it is the best option but was looking at pricing and it seems wuite high for the number of users we have in the office, is ther a small business edition of this......

Any help would be appreciated as i have over 400 e-mails being edelivered to my inbox in a 12 hour period and want to sort this one out asap.

Sorry one last this is i keep gettin e-mails from the server saying not to delete these e-mails as the server will deal with them so far am getting 8 per half hour.

ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH Help
