Welcome to the group, Bri!

Best thing is go to store and handle both of them.

Depends if you want a full keyboard (if you type a lot of messages) or if you want a sleak device.
Either are good choices. I have gone back and forth, and even though I send/receive a lot of email, I can use the Pearl. I prefer the Curve for 2 reasons: much more memory, and full keyboard.

Welcome to the forums.

I have both types of devices in my house.
Pearl - phone with a bb

Curve - BB with a phone.

welcome to the forums. it really is a matter of personal preference. the curve does have features the pearl 1 does not, and the pearl 2 has features the curve does not. what features are you looking for in a BB

Welcome, personally I would go with the curve. But no matter what you buy, when it comes to blackberry you are most definitely in the right place. Intelligent and friendly people. And I know, I was a reall dumbass when I started and now I'm just a dumbass!!!

Welcome to the forums. It will come down to what keyboard you are comfortable using. There are 2 schools of thought when it comes to SureType (on the Pearl) - people either love it or hate it (as in, it's a deal breaker for them).

Definately try out the devices. If you have a friend with a Pearl, try it out (better than trying on in the store).

I love SureType and can type a lot faster than on a full keyboard.

so I went to t-mobile today and I LOVE the curve but the husband isn't a fan of the price :( I like the curve it's a nice phone and it has just about the same features. I'll probably end up with the pearl since I can get it for 99 and maybe next year I'll get the curve ;) unless I can talk my husband into it!!

It's a great device, you will love it if you get the 8100.

Enjoy! And, welcome to the BBF!
