Thumbs up I love this site - 04-21-2008, 08:00 AM

It would probably help if I browse more threads on this site, but I just found this one and thought I should take the time to introduce myself. I have been browsing and posting in the forums for about a week now.

We have been looking at getting BBs for about three months and I had my heart set on the Curve a month ago, especially after my wife told me at that time I could get one with this particular check ("all spendable money" which was this past weekend). So as I was browsing the site of my provider I saw that a new model would be released on the 14th of April but no price was listed.

This news came in time as the one feature we was looking for was @Home service. I wasn't really sure how I would like the new Pearl 8120 because of the keys, but the two features I was interested in were were the expandable memory to 8gigs, and the video capture as a convenience to catch the kids doing something as they grow and we don't have the digital camera (video option) or cam corder handy.

We went to the store this past Tuesday to "test drive" the 8120 after the price was posted and it being significantly lower in cost than the Curve. The Suretype actually blew my mind and the decision was made. Being so excited I opted to go to bed as soon as I got home Friday morning (I work nights) and get up early to go pick up TWO new phones for my wife and I before work. My last couple of work days for the week were hard as I slept very little (originally was going to go get them on Sunday which is my "Friday").

Needless to say, we are both proud, addicted owners of the new BB 8120. Yes, I do ramble a lot.

Welcome to the forums! And 'nice rack' in your avatar. My hubby would be itching to pull the trigger on that one!

Actually, that is a "ghost" I got tired of releasing an arrow or slug at and had the opportunity to shoot it with a camera instead. For at least ten years (back home in Michigan) people would tell the story of how they had a clean easy shot on this buck but NOBODY ever got him. Very wierd. I had several chances to shoot him over a period of six years during bow and gun season and his rack is not on my wall. Him and I came to an understanding and he stood there proudly when I clicked the camera. One of those unspoken respects between a true hunter and his game.

Anyway, thank you for the greetings all.
