Hello!! I have a BB Pearl 8120 on T-Mobile (no data plan) and I am interested in hearing what I can do with Wifi at home. I am an Engineer in the Houston area. Hobbies mainly revolve around cars (My wife and I have an '08 Pontiac G8 GT, '00 Ford Ranger 4x4 and a '67 Jeep Kaiser M715).

welcome to the forums. you can use a few apps and browse via WiFi and that is all. Why wouldnt you get a data plan with the device? its $20 a month very well spent.

Without a data plan the device is basically a glorified phone

That is all I wanted out of the WiFi is browsing. I DID buy it more because I liked it as a phone, rather than for the data plan features. $20 a month didn't seem worth it to me.

Welcome to the forums...

may i suggest that you give it a shot for a month? if it doesn't turn out to be worth the $20/mo for you, you can always remove it from your plan.

When you turn on your phone, does it return the favor? Welcome to BlackBerry!

Welcome to BBF KaiserM715!

With $20, you will have the most powerful messaging device out there. Give it a shot.

Welcome to the group, KaiserM715!

The tmobile blackberry data plan really is a steal. Take a look at beyond411 (was berry411) and google maps. Both free applications. If you are a traveler, you will appreciate these. But you'll need the data plan.
