Default new here, need media help - 05-04-2008, 11:15 AM

Hi All,

My name is Gary, I found this site yesterday I have a 8130 Curve, I converted from a Samsung Blackjack wow what a geat difference. I live in Colorado, I work for the US Government. I was going through my Blackberry users guide on how to access my Micro SD card. reason is I have an excel spreadsheet that I want on my BB I was trying to use the destop manager which according to the user guide i was able to transfer files using the media manager well my program doesn't have that funstion so I transfered it using mass storage, now the problem, the only way i can find it is to add it as an attachment in an e-mail.

Question 1: how do I get the medai manager for my desktop manager version4.3.0.17

Question 2: how can I access my media card on my phone?

Thanks
Gary

Gary, welcome to the forums.
DM 4.3 is linked in our FAQ--Desktop Manager dowmloads.
http://www.blackberryfaq.com/index.php/Main_Page

Access those files on the BlackBerry at the Media icon, Menu, Explore.
Try out BeamBerry if you need additional spreadsheet support.

I have my 8330 set up for mass storage connection, so anytime I connect it to a computer without BB software, it shows up as an external drive. I transfer files back & forth that way. Being a mac and pc user, it's just easier for me with this process.

I did that with my blackjack too, I was having frustrations accessing the media card but (JSanders) helped me with that, I guess if I can't use it with the desktop manager I can always use it as mass storage.

Thanks Gary

Yeah it was a sad day in our house when they lost. there was an article in the denver post about how really hurt the avs players were. Lappy, and hannan played game 4 with a broken foot each, forsberg didn't have 1 groin injury but 2 his right one was rapped for game 3 and he injured his left duing that game, symth had a broken foot, wolski had 5 cracked ribs. they will regroup and make a run next year.

my wife and I really think that the wings are going to win it all, they looke dreally good.

Thanks
Gary
