Default New, got a problem. - 05-06-2008, 04:46 PM

Hello, I'm new to BlackBerrys. I bought a pearl off of eBay (probably not the smartest idea). It was used and the man I bought it from will not remove the pin from his account, so I cannot set up my own personal email. He has not gotten back to my emails. Is there a way to do it without him having to do anything? Thanks for the help and I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section.

Call your carrier and have them delete the BIS account currently associated with the device.

A lot of carriers will not do this unless they receive the request to release the pin from the previous user.

Contact the carrier and if they wll not delete the BIS account your only option is the seller and if he is not forthcoming then you will have to demand a refund & perhaps open a dispute if he does not co operate.

Good luck.

Wirelessly posted (what does it matter?)

If you can show documentation of the transaction they may release it as well
