Default Questions about emailing and text messages

I have 2 questions. I am just starting to understand the Blackberry Curve 8310.

1) My phone is in the BB Dimension Today theme but there are two messages displaying under the Messages section that i have already read and they will not go away no matter what i try. I have even gone into Messages and deleted them yet they still remain. Can someone please help?

2) When i send emails, no matter who i send it to the emails get sent to my email address as well. Is there a way that i can stop this?

PLEASE HELP....

Thanks,
Marcus

1. Try these tips: How do I reset my message counter to clear, or zero? - BlackBerryFAQ

2. 110% chance you are using GMail? HOW-TO: Prevent G-mail "Sent Items" from being sent to your handheld.

God luck, and welcome to the BBForums.
