Just got my BB 8330. Cool phone! I switched from a Moto Razr and miss one important feature. With the Razr, if I missed a call and it went to vmail, the phone would beep periodically to notify me of a vmail. (same true for text msg) My BB will blink the indicator light, but I need to be able to hear a notification that I missed a call. Often the BB is in somewhere I can not see it, but could hear a persistant beeping. I have been unable to find out if the Curve has this feature and if so, how to activate it.

It uses the same tone as your SMS (they share the setting). It will continue repeating. If you need repeating reminders of events look into BBAlert. It's third party software that allows you to customize notifications.

Thanks for the reply. I've done the set up as your first link stated. I will contact carrier for extended ring time before call goes to vmail. Did not know this could be done - thanks.
What I am really trying to get to happen, is a repeating ring or tone of some kind to let me know I have a vmail waiting. Let's say I missed the call, it went to vmail, and the phone is in my pocket, or its holster, or in my computer case -where ever. I need to know that a voice mail needs my attention without having to look at the phone every time. So a repeating ring is needed to alert me of the vmail. (also for messages - but I need vmail notification the most)

Thanks to all who have helped on this issue.
What I have found through the FAQs and the replies to my post is that the BB 8330 does not support notification of vmail, email, and text msg after the initial notification. That is, no alerts once a phone call has gone to vmail (and I missed the first notification). The solution is to buy BBAlerts from Handango.com. This app is super and does just what I needed. Thanks again to this forum.
