Default Synchronisation issues - duplicate mails

I have recently moved to exchange server to synchronise my blackberry and Outlook 2003.

All is working fine EXCEPT - whenever I view an email in Outlook I receive a copy of it on my blackberry - it is driving me CRAZY

Can anyone help please?
