Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 9000 4.6.0.67)

You need to be more specific what is it doing, what happened, any errors etc?

If the hourglass is just spinning, leave it alone. Takes 20-30 mins.

Alright.
I downloaded the Desktop Manager 4.3
Downloaded the 4.5 OS for my 8310.
During the installation, my computer stopped reading the USB and the installation canceled. Now my phone will not turn on and only the red LED indicator is blinking.

From what I've been seeing for the past 10 min. No hourglass has appeared on the screen. It's been a black screen.

Try a battery pull. See if that will get an hourglass for you. Also I am assuming DM doesn't see the device at all?

Is the BB still connected to the PC? Have you tried popping out the battery?

I pulled battery twice. Only red LED comes back on.

Hmmm....doesn't sound good. Try JL_Cmder with DM NOT running. If that doesn't do it, then I'd say something is very wrong, hardware related.

This sounds like my only solution: JL_Cmder
So I will give it a try. 8(

Keep in mind that it can take dozens of attempts to get the above mentioned steps to work.

The fact that the display never lights up gives me a bad vibe.

Yep, but I doubt its a hardware issue, unless the device just doesn't recognize the hardware anymore. You might have to contact your carrier to get a replacement if jl commander doesn't work. Are you still under your 1 year warranty?

If you got it from AT&T in April, then you have a 1 year warranty.

Well the devices have a 1 year manufacturer warranty from RIM. ATT is a carrier that will replace for you. Call them and ask about Exchange by Mail.

So if this JL_Cmder does not work, that will be my only solution?
Going to carrier and say?

Thanks SO MUCH!!
Honestly, I thought my phone was dead.
I guess I am re-installing the OS, now I see the white screen with a battery and a red slash across it.

Did you start this process with a low battery?

Sounds like the battery in charging now. Did you notice if your battery was low before you started the OS upgrade?
