Welcome to the Forums.

You downloaded files with *.alx and *.cod file endings?

hmm...you didn't answer my question. What did you download?

Yes you can install direct to the BB if the developer has an OverTheAir install file... *.jad

You use Desktop Manager > App Loader to add the ALX file to the install.

There is an OTA install here.

For future reference, to install a non-OTA file (.alx .cod). Connect your device to your PC, launch DM, and click on Application Loader. Select Browse, and select the folder with the .alx and .cod files. Put a check mark in the box next to the application and click next to install.
