Three weeks ago, my dad ran my phone through the wash machine. We put it in the freezer and now it works fine. Stupidly, today I went into my subscriber telling them I accidentally broke off a button, so I could get a new phone. I didn't realize that they'll charge me the cost of my phone when I send it in and they see the water damage indicator where the battery was. What should I do I don't have to send in my battery just my phone. I have a blackberry 8130, Thanks!

Here's an idea... How about taking responsibility for the situation instead of trying to defraud the carrier?

The indicator they're after is NOT on your battery. Send it in - or not - they will still know you dunked your phone.

I bet your Dad said he's not buying you a new one because it's not his fault that your phone was in your pocket?

Perhaps it's time to step up and start doing your own laundry.
