Thumbs up Hi there! - 09-03-2009, 11:40 AM

Howdy folks. I am new to the BB world, and in my search of finding info and information on Blackberry, I stumbled on this great website!

This is a very infomative and great site, I have learned a lot. Great write ups and FAQ's as well folks!

A little about my and my BB(or lack there of)

I am a disgruntled AT&T customer switching to Verizon Wireless which recently became available in my locale and ordering my phone tomorrow AM. I have been considering either a 8330 or a Storm. I have been to the local Altell store and have tried them both and really enjoy both. I have read reviews, and it seems like the Curve is the safest, most supported way to go. I like the Storm but I have heard some nightmare stories. So I have a big choice to make today. I'm looking to be able to read (not reply) work email, read and reply personal email....the little I get, haha. Texting - maybe 20-50 texts a day, not very long texts. Facebook and Myspace?(maybe) Some multimedia stuff, more so taking pictures and short video clips of my 3 month old son and sending them in texts to family members. Not really a lot of music. Simple web browsing (sports, news, ...simple stuff).

I have tried and enjoy both...does anyone have any insight?

I look forward to chit chatting with you folks and hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Sorry. You will have to try both. Verizon also has the 9630 Tour. I am not a touchscreen person but that may be a personal bias.

Yeah yeah. So many choices :D I was looking at the Tours, but I figured I would go with a cheap BB to start out with, something where I can learn how they work and such before I jump into something expensive and with more features.

Just too many variables!

As you immerse yourself with this site, you will get different perspectives. Some content wont connect until you try out the device which you seem to know anyway.
