Default New User, no smartphone. - 09-04-2009, 03:27 PM

Hey all, new to the forum. I actually don't have a smartphone yet, I'm just starting to research them, I'll be purchasing one on my next upgrade, sometime next year. Right now it's between a Tour, a Curve or an iPhone (Hissssss), though it's really so far not so much an iPhone. Any suggestions you might have, just shoot me a PM or post here.

Welcome.

Suggestions depend on what you need and how you plan to use the device.

Yes,
Please give us more specific information. The Storm 2 is coming out and that has a touchscreen which would be closest to the iphone. As Dubdub noted, we need to know how you plan to use?

Thanks for the welcome.

There's nothing I really absolutely NEED in the device. Email and internet of course, I have 2 or 3 emails I'd like to have set up on the device. Compatibility with most websites, and a large screen to view them on, or atleast as large as possible. A physical keyboard would be a prefrence, but if you guys know of a touch screen that's good for texting and dialing it wouldn't bother me. The option of an extended battery is a plus as well.

Sounds like a Tour candidate to me. Check out the 9630 Forums. I personally prefer the Curve and will be upgrading to the 8900 myself. Form wise the Tour seems similar however I have read that the new Gen. of Tour will have a Track pad instead of ball...or so I think I read.

Please don't think that I will add you to my BBM. I won't. Especially if I get sleazy PM's.
