Default Hello! Maybe A BB Convert? - 09-22-2009, 03:21 PM

Hello,
My wife and I are considering a Blackberry. She for work and me for what I use my Moto Q for. She is a physician and her employer will be switching to 100% electronic filing. She was told she can use a Blackberry. Myself, I'm mainly interested in a phone that can text and sync a calendar. No internet or email for me on the phone.

Question about fees. If you buy a Blackberry and only want to use it for a phone, texting, and the calendar, as well as an address book and notes, would there still be fees on top of the usual carrier fees--Verizon for us.

I'm assuming since my wife would be accessing the hospital and clinic's network, she would need some sort of data plan.

Any suggestions for us as to which phones would best meet our needs?

Thanx--

Greetings, and welcome to the BBForums.

Verizon will REQUIRE that you have the BlackBerry Data Plan.. if that is your carrier, in your profile here. Even for your needs, they will require it. You don't need the Data Plan for what you described--not having it will cripple other functions, but all you stated will work. But not on Verizon.
