Collapsing Folders -

I wonder if you can help. my blackberry has a weird fault, when you go into mail and view folders i have a mail box in there which is named old emails, this has lots of sub folders which are all expanded I have collapsed them but when you go back into the area the folder is expanded again which is frustrating.There are so many sub folders to scroll through. I have checked on my notes account and this folder is collapsed there. I thought that the blackberry just remembered the last command. Is there any save feature to keep this folder collapsed ?
