My 8310 wont turn on and its blinking red

Ive tryed downloading the new os did it doesent work it goes through the erasing phase and then it says fatal error and ive tried erasing everything on my phone useing that jl thing and it wont erase at all so im kinda thinking my phone is messed up but when the battery is dead it doesent blink red but when i charge it it starts blinking so i dont really no can anyone help me ?
