I've been using an old blackberry curve for the past 2 years and am now switching to a Blackberry 8800. since I rely so heavily on my emails, I don't want to have any problems with the changeover....I've copied my address book to the sim card and now I'm trying to find the POP 3 and smtp numbers on my existing phone so I can load them into the new one....do i need them? where can i find them on my phone? please note I am living in Italy so my provider is Vodafone. any other advice you can give me before switching? obviously I am not a 'techie'!!!

I am on wap so its hard for me to send links. Go to BBFAQ on top and click link to install desktop manager to your PC. Create a backup of your old phone. Once you have setup your new phone, hook up your phone to that same PC and choose the restore function from your desktop manager. Another ooption from your DM is to use the switch device wizard.
