Default Noobie needs 8120 pearl help

Please Login to Remove!

Hi all, Total Noob to Blackberry's, so much so that I haven't even got one yet. I bought one of Ebay last week and will hopefully receive it tomorrow but whilst waiting for it I have been trying to find out if it is possible to unlock it FOR FREE to all networks as it is currently locked to Orange. It is a RIM BlackBerry Pearl 8120 phone and would like to have it with my current network which is Vodafone. Anyone able to point me in the right direction pls? Would be vrey grateful. Thanks.

P.S. I'm aware I can't do this till I receive the phone as I need the IMEI but would like to research it ready for when I do receive it.

Wirelessly posted

I have read that carrier's will provide an unlock code free to a customer under certain circumstances. That is the only instance of acquiring a code for free that I'm aware of. But see what others say.

This question comes up a lot, practically every day. Do a search and you'll quicly see what your options are. Stay away from shortcuts such as pirated software, or you'll likely ruin the device.
