Default Help with removing old account!!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi everyone. Complete bb novelist here. Can someone please tell me how to contact a human being at blackberry to find out how to remove an old account on my phone!!!

I purchased a BB curve 8310 supposedly new from a seller in HK. When I tried to get the BB data service setup on o2, they told me that although the imei is not blocked the pin has been registered before and I have to get that removed with BB. o2 won't contact them for me because they said the phone was not bought from them.

Firstly I have no idea who the previous carrier/network is as the phone was sold to me unlocked/brand new. Secondly I can't seem to find any info on this matter anywhere!! Can somebody please help!!!

You need to contact the seller and have them cancel their BIS account. If they won't do it, you can keep trying your carrier until some nice CSR will do it for you. You need to be patient and courteous, no ranting and raving as it isn't their fault it was registered to someone else.

And as an FYI, we are in no way connected with RIM. This is a private forum run and supported by an all volunteer, BB enthusiast user group.

I know this doesn't help, but in case you decide to buy another used BB, it has good information about buying used BBs and not just from eBay: Buying a BlackBerry off eBay - BlackBerryFAQ
