Unable to access my BB bold2 with my laptop through USB
 
Please can someone help me out. Whenever I connect my BB with my laptop using USB chord, instead of the Laptop to detect the device, it start charging it. I eeven try to connect through bluetooth its still the same. The bluetooth can only transfer or receiv e file through my laptop but can't give me chance to pair and access the info on BB either to sync, backup or accessing media card.

Have you installed Blackberry Desktop Software? It includes the drivers for your laptop to see the device.

That was the first thing I did, I found this software in the disc enclosed within the BB container. Any other idea please?

I may have misunderstood the problem then. What exactly are you trying to do? And it would be helpful if you told us what steps you have already performed to troubleshoot this "problem".

The major problem is just that e ven with desktop manager opend before connecting BB through USB,the Laptop is unable to detect/recognize the device at all. You mean I should troubleshoot? But I couldn't get any link for such. May be you can helpme out sir

Have you tried a different USB port?

That's what I'm going to do now. But if it actually work with other computers, does that mean my computer is faulty or is the fault of BB?

if it works with a different computer, this would indicate the fault is related to the first computer and not the BB.
