Just got a 7250 BB last Fri from Sprint and am from Burlington, VT (anyone from around here?). It has'nt been activated which was supposed to and it's post-poned til tomorrow morning since I've been trying to switch from Verizon to Sprint...even though I have the BB here with me.
However..as of 8:35 pm tonight (sunday) customer service from Sprint tells me that escalation services (or activation if that's what she's saying) takes about 2 or 3 days. Is'nt that normal for most Blackberries with you guys?
Also, since I'm hard of hearing, I switched to this model so I can text or email others but have limited voice call minutes (I can hear some voices).
However, my old LG phone from Verizon has fantastic sound/reception quality which was the highest point of this phone but yet I hardly talk on it.
So...when I tried calling *2 to Sprint to find out what's going on with the delay of activation...I could hear myself echoing in the background and yet the battery is still in full power.
What gives? Is it the phone itself OR is it because it's not fully activated, echolation is expected? I'm getting a bit worried about the sound quality in case someone calls me after I get it activated by tomorrow morning---that is, if they do come through or I'm going to get very frustrated.
Sprint's $99.00 BB deal in the Business section was the deal breaker for me as I've always wanted one and Verizon's ridiculous $400 price tag just became a financial obstacle for me.
