Default Newbie breaks 8700g!

Hi folks,
Stumbled across your forum on Friday, and by Monday I already need help!
Had some issues setting us BES, with it working initially, then at 1900 on Friday the 8700 kept refusing the connection (according to the server)
MD brought in his BB8700g this morning to tell me how rubbish it is!
Followed a few leads, including the apparently fatal "nuke handset" option.
Now have no OS, and need help on how to get it back on. (And where to get it from)
Posted here first, but off to trawl your FAQ's etc for any clues.

Cheers in anticipation

Read THIS thread on where to download the OS and how to install it. You can also search the forums as there are a number of threads with details on installing/upgrading the BlackBerry OS. If you have any questions later, feel free to ask.

Remember, please try searching first!

Need a screenshot? ... Like JavaLoader?
Try using BBscreen .....Use JL_Cmder!
or BBScreenShooter!

Thanks for the responese - I already stumbled across that post, however unfortunately the carrier I use is O2, and the link for the 8700 for O2 UK doesn't seem to work - it just points to an ftp site.
How do I access the files on the ftp site? Or is there an updated link somewhere to a http site?
