Default howdy - LED issue - 04-25-2006, 03:01 PM

quick question to get started. just go the 8700g. love it. one little issue. most of the time when emails come in the LED blinks red as it should. however, sometimes it stays green even if i have mail. for instance, 5 emails are sitting in my inbox now and it's blinking green. any ideas?

The LED doesn't blink red forever if you have unread messages. After a certain amount of time passes, the LED will stop flashing red. Also, if you use the device, but dont open the messages it will stop flashing red.

thanks, Doug. didn't know the red LED clears when you use the device. thanks for the info. however, i believe even if the BB is sitting on my desk not having been touched by my eager hands, it still sometimes doesn't give me a red LED when messages come in. this is not the norm, it usually does give me a red LED, so i guess i can handle it. thanks again.
