Default Gave in and got a Blackberry

Hello everyone, new to the forum here. But def not new to blackberry!

I've worked for every single Major US carrier (except for Verizon). I currently own/run a Nextel/Sprint Authorize Service Center. We deal with Sales and Service & Repair. I have been in the cellphone business since 2002. I have never owned a blackberry until this week. I finally gave in and got the 8700g for my personal T-Mobile line which I've had for years (8700g didn't cost me a anything ). Never had a PDA type before, just always stuck with Motorola. I love it so far!

I've been dealing with Blackberrys since 2002. You can say I have lots of experience with them, I used them everyday. And being a Sprint/Nextel Service center, I deal with them alot! At my store we use Sprint's 7250 and Nextel's 7520. We active them, show customers how to set up there BIS and perform Advange Exchange for defective blackberry units. And being an ASC, we have a pretty close/tight relationship with RIM.

So yea, I've been around. Would love to share my knowledge on this forum, and hopefully learn a thing or two.

I love my 8700g, but disapointed in the OZ Messenger service for AIM. Seems like there is big delays and sometimes messages I sent are never received and vice versa (sounds like Nextels text messaging problem LOL). Tried a few 3rd programs for AIM, seems like some don't work for the 8700g yet. Currently i'm using yak-on, but seems like theres a lot of bugs with this program. Its crashed on me a couple times after having it for a day. Other than that, I'm in love with this thing!

Try out Google Talk, it is very integrated into the interface.

Welcome and cheers.

I've actually downloaded google talk. Been trying to intergrate aim into it using miranda or something. Its a little confusing and I wasn't able to get it to work. I just know I'm doing somethibng wrong.

Right now I'm using ramble and its working pretty good. I might have trouble receiving calls while on it but not sure yet. Yak-on would just crash me and drained my battery like mad.
