My name is Trevor. I just bought my first blackberry and switched to Cingular (from Verizon) last Wednesday. So far it has been a good couple of days. The ability to go online anywhere is amazing. I've had some quirks but they are beginning to be ironed out.
I just graduated from UC Berkeley with a double major in Psychology and Linguistics. In a few weeks I'll start work at Google doing marketing and product management. I'm also working on a few projects on the side, which leads into my reasons for getting a blackberry.
I am a big user of Tablet PCs and have been awarded the MS MVP award for Tablet PCs for 3 years. I'm glad to answer questions regarding tablets if anyone has them.
I run a site with two college students called The Student Tablet PC (since I can't post URLs, just google it or see my sig). Our goal is to promote the tablet in higher education, and the site, which has been up for 18 months, has done very well.
My other main venture is a professional networking site, Alumwire. Some friend from Berkeley were upset with the lack of interaction between students and alumni, and we created this site a professional college network. If you went to college in the US, please sign up. (again no URLs allowed as a new member, but check my sig) Please let me know what you think.
I also want to extend a thank you to the community as I lurked this forums just prior to making my decision and for a few days afterward during the initial setup. The advice here is invaluable. I now have custom ringtones (created from Muse and Feeder songs), an awesome wall paper, bluetooth sync, and full internet-- all thanks to this site.
