Hi all...just wanted to thank everyone for all the great information on the boards here! I have been through the whole Treo line...then to the PPC 6700 and finally just recently discovered the BlackBerry. All of my devices up until yesterday have been with Sprint...my first BB was the 7130e. I really am amazed how much I have been missing...I knew in the first 2 hours with the 7130 that I had finally found the smart phone I have been after. Just to compare...I went and opened a second account over at Tmo and grabbed a Pearl and an 8700g.

After an admittedly brief time with the Pearl and the 8700...I think the 8700 will be my full time device. I have managed to get them all with Zen on them and added the must have items all thanks to the fantastic instructions on this site. I have been a long time member over at the Sprint boards...I look forward to hopefully giving something back to this community as I come up to speed.

Welcome to the forums! Glad you have found some useful information here. Looks like you have really got to test your share of BB's once you made the switch. Just FYI... Sprint is supposed to be coming out with the 8703e on Oct 1st I believe. It will be similiar to the 8700g, but will have EVDO speeds.

Thanks for the welcome. I will be ordering the Sprint version on Monday I needed an account with Tmo to use for data overseas...was a perfect excuse to give the 8700 and 8100 a try. I have my company on Sprint currently so I will carry the 8703 everyday and keep the Tmo one for travel. I am headed to Italy, Dubai and Saudi Arabia in a couple of weeks and will report back on how Tmo unit fares in those countries.
