I used to be a nice guy. Since I've gotten my blackberry, I'm arrogantly drunk with power.

Just kidding with a 7130e from Los Angeles.

My newbie questions so far...

- downloading and using the zen theme

- the blackberry desktop manager (how do i get one and how do i use it?)

- transferring your gmail address book to your blackberry address book - can it be done?

- protection of the blackberry from virii and hackers

- inserting words in the middle of a sentence already typed in an email in the blackberry (if that wasn't clear, i don't really know how else to explain it....but if I type a sentence and forget to put a word in it, so far I'm deleting everything on the way to get back to the word - now that sounds more confusing!)

im planning on researching the forums to answer these and other questions that I have so no one has to throw me the the lifesaver.

Search the forums for "7100 ZEN". There should be an OTA (over the air) download.

BDM comes on the CD with your device, or download it from BlackBerry.com. Its pretty simple to use, RTM.

No, you can not transfer your Gmail address book directly to the BlackBerry. Try exporting it from Gmail and then use BDM ASCII import.

Only one know trojan, no virii. The trojan only has no effect on the handheld itself. It allows access to the corporate network if your connected to a BES server. It also requires that the user acknowledge the installation onto their handheld.

Hold the (ALT) key and scroll the wheel. This will allow you to move the cursor one carater at a time instead of line by line.
