I'm a brand new BB user. After the first time I synched w/Outlook a menu item disappeared from the email menu. When I go to reply to an email, everything is fine untl I want to send the reply. The only thing I can do is save the draft. And then I can't figure out how to save the draft.
It worked fine before I synched. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Outlook lost its own send button? Odd. Can you still alt+s to send messages?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. I mean that the BB "send" menu option is missing from the menu when I try to reply to an email.

My question is, what BlackBerry are you using, and when you are creating a new email, and press the thumbwheel, what choices do you have?

Also, are your accounts (email) still on the device?

Are you on a BES? Do you have an IT policy that restricts sending?

You need to either delete and undelete the Desktop (CMIME) service book, or simply have the service books resent. If you're on a BES, contact your BES Admin, if you're on BIS, log in to your BIS and resend them from there.

When I go to an email that I received, there is a reply option. I select reply and then create the email reply. Then when I'm finished and click the wheel again, the menu doesn't have option to send, only to save.
That option was there for two days, but disappeared yesterday. I've had the 8700c for a total of 4 days

My email is Outlook, on a POP for email. There is no restriction from my company on sending and receiving email. It was originally set up for wireless transfers, but the IT folks switch me so I synch to update info. Tasks, contacts, and calendar are synching fine. So was email for the first two days, then suddenly the send option was missing. Well, maybe not suddenly - my laptop froze during the middle of a synch - did some crazy stuff, but when I rebooted everything seemed back to normal. I noticed the problem with the missing send option after that.

...you just pull the battery while it's on. Then put it back together, and then check your email 'options', now what?

I tried removing the battery and then reinstalling it (w/o turning it off). It reset, but the send option still issn't there. Also tried a soft reset (shift/alt/del) and that didn't do it either. Visited the Cingular store this afternoon - they didn't have a clue but said to call my IT people.
I've saved the info regarding the CHIME service book and the other portions of this thread. I'll work with them on Monday and let you'all know how it turns out. Many thanks

An update: I spoke first with IT, then with Cingular tech support who were very helpful. There was a setting on my company's server that needed to be reset - apparently the "send" option had been turned off when there was a server problem in the main office. So I gave the info to my IT, they reset it and now I have "send" again. Many thanks for everyone's help.
