First off, hello to all. With my registration, I now belong to 88 forums, 3 of which I am a mod. This site looks awesome and I hope to visit frequently.

Next, I have a 7290 (Canadian provider) and I have just received my 4th re-furbished unit as I have been having many issues with each one they send. I think it is related to the latest software that I have installed on it. The probelem appears to be a type of Hibernation. While in the cradle it will turn itself off (actually more like a PC hibernation) but not sleep like it is supposed to. I can re-activate it by pressing the wheel, it comes up fairly quickly, but then it has to search for the network and then download any waiting e-mails, messages etc.

Has anyone else seen this, or know how to turn it off. It seems to be about 20 minutes before it does this, and it does not happen if it is left out of the cradle.

thanks in advance
