hey everyone I am new to BB. I just bought a pearl from a friend of mine yesterday and have a lot to learn and tons of reading to do, any help will be great.

Welcome. Lots of good stuff here. Be sure to read the many stickys (posts that stay at the top of the list in a given section) about upgrades, ringtones, etc. You name it, it's probably in there.
