Hello all...

I must say that I have not really paid much attention to the BB until I recently visited my local Verizon Wireless store. The store is owned and operated by two guys that I had gone to school with, and I trust their judgement when it comes to such things as these... and other devices.

I immediately walked in and began asking about the Q and the Treo. Before I could even finish my inquiry, they steered me away from both. Once they got me to shut up, they asked what I needed in a smartphone and threw out one option... the BB. According to them, the BB is bulletproof and obtains reception much better than the Treo. So... let's just say that the had my attention.

I assumed that because most of my time is spent in Outlook that I would need a Windows OS to allow for integrated email/contact/task functionality. It sounds as if the BB does just this... and possibly a better job of it?

Anyhow... the 8703e was ordered and I am due to pick it up in two days. I am very excited to learn this new device. After spending the last few days reading this forum and searching for as many online reviews as possible... I am sure that I am on the right path.

Since I am a young'n when it comes to the BB, I am sure that you will be hearing more from me. I suppose I owe thanks to those responsible for this wonderful tool and I look forward to my next post.

Take Care!

Welcome to the forum... Yes they are correct the Q and WM devices are JUNK! BB's are rock solid and do exactly what they are intended to better than any other device on the planet! Enjoy that 8700

Welcome, welcome....Don't overlook the sticky's at the beginning of most of the different discussion boards. They are full of lots of good information for making the most of the BB experience.
