Hi noob needs a little help/advice

Hi all,

I have tried searching for my answer but Im not sure exactly what to search for and Im getting informtion overload.

what it is I have added my email to my blackberry but nothing is coming through - are there settings on the actual device that need to be setup i.e. time periods for checking etc (i.e every x number of minutes or something) the account is a pop3 account I believe and I have new messages in there but for some reason they are not coming to my blackberry. its the pearl BTW.

I hope someone can help to stop me pulling my hair out lol

Have you gone to your provider BB website? Go to this site and check to make sure the email accounts you have entered are showing valid. If they are not validate them and send service books to your phone for all of them. Also make sure you have a BB plan activated with your provider.

How do you mean BB website and see if they are valid? sorry if Im missing something basic. I have looked at the service book but my BT email isnt there - is there a way to get it on there and could that be the problem?

rob - do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan? What model BB do you have and who is the carrier?

Ive just manged to get it working now - I looked into the settings and the in associated with it was the wrong one or something - dont know how that happened unless it was when I had it back at the shop earlier.
