Pearl 8000 Problems with Outlook

I can Sync my Pearl ok but it picked up the wrong profile. I got the profile right now but the addresses in the handheld are the old ones. How do I clear them out without resetting the software. I can't find a delete adress book without going through the deleting each one - there are 1100 records.
Can anyone please give me some advice what to do.

Use the Desktop Manager's Backup/Restore feature. Go to advanced. You can "clear" the address book database from there.
