Default Very new!!! - 01-28-2007, 07:39 AM

Hi everyone
I've just signed up having spent the entire morning trying to get my brand new Blackberry Pearl to talk to my TomTom 910. Having just read the appropriate thread and discovered they won't or can't work together I am about to go and lie in a darkened room to recover from the shock that two pieces of the latest technology are incompatable!!! Then I'm going to plan what I'm going to do to the person who told me they will work together - then I'm going to beat myself up for not dealing with this within the 14 day time I had to return it to Vodaphone.
I'm pleased to hear others are delighted with their BB Pearl and I look forward to learing how to deal with mine in the next few days. I'm not normally grumpy I can assure you - but all this has wasted half a day!!!!!!!

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8703e/4.1.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

Sorry to hear about your incompatability issue. Both TomTom and BB are top notch technology. Since TomTom has a display my question would be why you would need a connection between the two? I use a BT puck with my 8703e and VZW. Have a car mounting system and have no complaints with my investments.

As a newby myself, I can assure you that - your Tomtom notwithstanding - you will experience enlightenment if you stick with it for a while.

cheers
