Question Newbie with a 8700v -some questions!

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I am a new user with a some questions,

(1) how do I disable the data function and have phone only (to avoid expensive data charges whil abroad)

(2) when I am abroad I would like to check mail as a one-off to control the high costs. how can I do that?

(2b) can I control how often the BB checks for email?

(3) does instant messaging (with web messenger) use alot of data allowance, can I just leave it on all the time without it constantly using data in the backround?

(4) how do I know if the BB memory is full up?

(5) can I transfer data from a laptop to it? eg photos?

(6) Whats the best font and size for web browsing

(7) how do I zoom in or out when web browsing

(8) I cannot receive my friends MMS (multmedia messages) do they come by GPRS also?

(9) I tried to find a nice game to buy but really they seem so simplistic / dated/poor, why not Doom 3 or Gran turismo etc?

(10) I have been allowed 6mb of data per month- is this alot or little ?
(excluding attachments obviously)

appreciate help from veteran users

Weclome. Wow lots of questions. Good thing you found this Forum. BlackBerry's and data plans go hand in hand, my friend.
