Yesterday, I decided to buy a new phone. Little did I know I would own a Blackberry 18 hours later. I was turning in my aged Samsung i730 WM5 phone. I had really thought I would purchase a Motorola Q, but I came here and saw some things that changed my mind.
1. Little sense of desperation. (Sure, the support requests were there, but no ALL CAPS posts with people considering suicide cause their phone was completely dead.)
2. Genuine happiness. I found that people, in general, seem genuinely happy with these devices, no matter which one they own. There may be problems, but they're not freaking out.
3. Much more vibrant third-party community. I had no clue that there was so much software for these devices. The reputation that precedes these devices is stodgy business equipment. But Wow! IRC! Gmail! Games! Wow!
4. Lastly, the thing just felt good in my hand and better than my hulking i730.
Thanks to this community for helping me pick a nice device.
