Hello all!

I'm now fast awaiting my new Blackberry 8800 from t-mobile UK and looking forward to my very first blackberry experience.

Yes Ok I know,I haven't signed up to t-mobiles push email service which is 10 pounds extra a month, but for 7.50 they were offering me unlimited data usage, so I could just set the blackberry to page my email accounts every ten minutes... a better deal it seems

I honestly have no idea what to expect, having never owned a blackberry before (O2's XDA Mini-S was frightfully bad, also known as the I mate K-Jam for anyone in the USA)

Hopefully this will be my refuge for when things go wrong.

Despite the FAQ sections available in the sticky at the top, can anyone give some first hand advice to a complete blackberry newbie

i'd spend the extra pounds for push but it seems you may have a good alternative here in the US no BBdata plan no email.

ezrunner, I know, taking away push is like taking away what makes a BB a BB.

But with teh 10 pound a month service, I got a push system, 50meg emails, and 3 meg browsing a month.

for 7.50 a month, I got Unlimited Data usage, so it worked out it would just be easier to set the BB to download everything every 5 mins.

Plus I got the phone for free. :D

BAH! they lied! I can only have the 10quid a month thing

anyway I have it, and I love it, brilliant little device. Just waiting for my number to port over and find out how to get it working with my car kit
