Default firewall question - 05-26-2007, 06:04 PM

Helo Everyone,

I'm a new member and I have the 8703e, which I just purchased 2 1/2 months ago and I have a question. The firewall on the device comes disabled. Do you only need to turn it on when you are downloading? Should it be on all the time as if it were a computer or do you only need to turn it on for downloading? Your response is most appreciated. Thank you.

I wondered about this, too. I thought the firewall was on by default because when I installed some apps, like BerryVine Messenger and PocketDay, I got prompts asking if they could contact the Internet. I had the option of allowing all access by that app, or allowing it just that one time.
