Post Decisions Decisons which Blackberry? - 05-28-2007, 11:20 AM

Well thanks for answering my previous post everyone, now I got the decision as to which Blackberry device to purchase tomorrow, my options all come with:

6mb BIS Access & 25 txt messages a month (2nd Handset on my account on Orange UK)

Options are:

BB Pearl £FREE
BB 7130 £49.99
BB 8800 £149.99
BB 8700f £179.99

My tariff will be BB data only as I have a Nokia N95 on a really good plan for all my other stuff.

Can't make up my mind, though a full QWERTY keyboard sounds tempting, how easy is the pearl to text/email on with suretype?

What do you guys feel are the fores or againsts for the handsets?

Wirelessly posted (Opera/8.01 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/3.1.7196/1684; en; U; ssr))

Well Qwerty is faster than SureType, but you get used to it. For is all that the BB platform has to offer. Only thing for me is internal GPS which the 8800 has and the 8100 does not. Of course going from an N95 you will also lose the 3G. 8800 has no camera, the 8100 does. Form factor the 8100 is more compact than the 8800 but then there is the 8300 which size wise is in between. WiFi someday with the BB (as the N95 does). Battery life can be extended on the BB (unlike the N95) with an extended battery.

Thanks for your views, I think you might have misread my post I will be getting a BB in addition to my N95 which I love, mainly because I'm out of the office most of the time and need to keep in touch with my emails (N95 keypad, not that great for emails i think)
