Default I need some technical support! - 06-02-2007, 04:57 AM

I'm a newbie and I'm in need of some help. I purchased a used Blackberry 7290 that was running an older version of it's software so I downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager Version 4.0.1.12 as well as the Handheld Software Version 4.1.0.377. I was able to successfully connect to the Desktop Manager and use the Application Loader to successfully install all the new software I had just downloaded from the T-Mobile website.

But then...I accidentally deleted a bunch of things from my BB through the Application Loader and I have no idea how I did it. Before I started screwing around, I had 19 icons on my home screen and now I only have 15.

Can someone please tell me how I can completely reinstall EVERYTHING that Handheld Software Version 4.1.0.377 has and bring my BB back to the 19 icons and full capacity that it once had.

Thanks,
Matt

Not knowing which icons you are missing, it is really impossible to tell you what to do, other than to wipe and reload the OS again. Check the BlackBerryFAQ.com site listed above for complete instructions.
And welcome to the Forums.

Just run the applicatiun loader again and check off everything in the list. It will reinstall anything that is supposed to be there.

Default Thanks for the help - 06-02-2007, 12:07 PM

Thanks for the help - I will try the wipe - I hope it works.

But I think that I deleted some of the applications from the Application Loader. Is it possible that I did that? How can I get everything back in the Application Loader? I don't want to wipe and then not have everything available in the App Loader to put back on.

Thanks very much for the help tho!
Matt

You can't delete things from the application loader. You can uncheck them from the list, but not delete them.

Actually you can delete things from the Application Loader. To get them back I simply did a clean wipe of the registry on my PC and re-installed both the new device manager and the newest OS for my 7290
