Default tech gury about to ask stupid question.... - 06-07-2007, 10:27 PM

okay okay, maybe I just haven't read enough, but I just (4 or so hours ago) moved from my Treo (Verizon) to a BB Perl (ATT) and now stumped. The phone except works great, but I am looking for the local app to sync with.

The Treo ran the palm OS and had the palm desktop, sync, bam, done. The desktop manager I am looking at the sync icon. Each item (calendar, tasks) show a list, naturally Outlook, notes, etc. so is it safe to assume there is no BB application for these? Hate to say I need to run Outlook just for this!

Well, as I said the ques is prob stupid, but that's just for starters! Next comes the linux sync questions!

Wirelessly posted (8700g: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

There is not a BlackBerry PC contact manager. Yes, use Outlook, and sync, bam, done. It is so much easier and seamless. Enjoy.

Damn those M$ people.... but until I get the linux side working, at least adding contacts through outlook vs. the mini keyboard will be worth it!

Thanks for the quick reply!

Thank heavens they have Outlook, I have not found a better product which integrates with all I need. If you have will you point it out to me?
