Default Audible Notifications ... do they exist? - 06-08-2007, 10:17 AM

Never got a how-to answer, a simple yes, since then I have bought my perl and ready to get this one done. As the old post stated, a friend has one, said his only negative comment was on calendar reminders, etc. the LED blinks, but nothing more.

I was told from the forum, yes there is a way to turn on an audible ararm for a reminder, so the question now is how?

Under media I do see alarm, notifier type tones, but how to you associate with either a calendar alarm, new mail, etc.

Thanks all. BTW, what does an "unlocked" phone mean?

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry8300/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102 UP.Link/6.3.0.0.0)

Hi xlancealotx. A lot can be found in the BBF FAQ. An unlocked phone is one in which is not "locked" to a specific provider. Phones can be unlocked with special codes (provided by companies which do unlocking).

If you go to your profiles (profiles>advanced) you should be able to go into diferent types of settings (level one messages, calendar, phone, etc) and activate a tone notification of your choice.

ok oh great ones... one more, can you do a reminder audible x times? Right now you can reminder the LED flashing, but is there an update so I can say ring 4 times or something in case I don't hear the 1st. (I know, I'm pushing it here) :D

You can change the number of beeps (chimes) from 1-3. If you do not dismiss or snooze it should remind every 5-15 minutes.
