Just won a BB Pearl

Hi, all. I've never considered a BB until I just won a Pearl in a contest this week. It is an AT&T model, but my current wireless carrier is T-Mobile.

Good news: AT&T has told me that they will unlock the device, since it was purchased at full retail without a service plan. I hope to have the unlock code in a day or two.

I assume (someone correct me) that once it is unlocked, I could use it on my current T-Mobile account if I add a BB data plan, or just open a new AT&T account. Am I correct so far?

What are the differences, if any, between T-Mo and AT&T with respect to the BB?

1- yes, it will work fine on Tmo with a BB Data Plan, after it is unlocked. Or on ATT.

2- Not a difference, really, other than the logo on the front, and the splash screen on startup.
